Hey everyone, my PC recently gave up on me, and I finally managed to grab a solid prebuilt setup with a 7800x3d and a 9070xt. Now I'm in desperate need of a new monitor! My budget is around $250 AUD, and I'm hoping to get something around 1440p and maybe 160Hz. I'm not exactly sure what the best options are, so any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Check this link for a good deal that fits your budget! There’s a $169 1440p 144Hz IPS monitor from Centercom that seems perfect for your needs, although keep in mind there might be delivery costs if you opt not to pick it up in-store. Here’s the link: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/tag/gaming-monitor?noexpired=1

That sounds like a solid option! Is Metrocom on eBay reliable? I found this one for $209 after a discount: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/257392918179. Would love to know if it's worth it!

Check out this link for options on a 27" or 32" curved monitor, both at 180Hz and 2K resolution: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/tyB2R4. Just a heads up, the 32" could go slightly over your budget with taxes, and I’ve heard some people feel 32" might be too big for some, so maybe try checking them out in-store before deciding! Also, the response times on the larger one don’t seem as good.

If you have a decent TV, you could temporarily connect an HDMI cable from your GPU to the TV until you save up for a proper monitor. It could be a simple short-term fix!

I found this monitor on PCPartPicker that looks like a great deal: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/Phrp99/lg-ultragear-g6-27g610a-b-270-2560-x-1440-200-hz-monitor-27g610a-b. It’s 27 inches with a 200Hz refresh rate and 1440p resolution - should give you a fantastic gaming experience!
