Best Way to Image an Encrypted Disk Without Swap

I'm looking for the best method to create an image of my installation's disk. Since my disk is encrypted and does not have a swap partition, I've tried using Clonezilla, but it failed during the process. There was an error related to reading the filesystem, and it seemed to switch to dd mode for some parts, which I didn't want. I'm using MBR partitioning with a 1TB disk, where I've only utilized about 85GB. Wondering if I need to capture both my root and grub partitions, although I think only the root might suffice. Can anyone recommend a good tutorial that fits my case? Also, I'd like to create a smaller-sized ISO for future reinstalls, preferably not through dd since it doesn't offer compression, making it inefficient for my backup plans.

If you're setting up a Clonezilla restore disk, I recommend keeping it simple and not mixing in Ventoy. From my experience, Clonezilla works best when you're using a straightforward setup. I used it with a large USB HDD a while back, and it didn't involve ISO files; instead, it created a larger image file as a backup. If possible, I'd suggest getting a second 1TB drive just for cloning. You can follow this basic guide for Clonezilla: https://clonezilla.org/clonezilla-live-doc.php.

I get that you're looking to create an ISO for multiple backups. If you're using a 2TB drive and want to stick with MBR for Libreboot, that definitely simplifies things.
