I've got an Acer Nitro AN515-52 laptop, which is around 8 years old now. It's frustrating because my C: drive, which is a small 118GB SSD, is always full. The D: drive has plenty of space since it's a 1TB HDD, but I keep getting warnings about low storage on my SSD. I hardly have anything stored there besides Windows and a few other applications. I checked with a tool called WinDirStat, and it shows that a significant amount of space is taken up by Windows and other system files. Is there anything I can do to free up space without upgrading my whole laptop? Any tips for immediate ways to clear some clutter? Thanks in advance!

Make sure to check how much space is being consumed by essential applications. You can expect some slowdown if you move to the HDD, but most of your performance will be fine for everyday tasks.
The problem is that 118GB for your OS drive isn't much. You might want to consider moving Windows to the 1TB HDD, even though it’s slower. It’s better than getting constant notifications about full storage.
Your SSD is pretty small for the OS. The best fix is to upgrade to a larger M.2 SSD. That’ll give you the speed you need without constant warnings about low space.
If your laptop has been in use for 8 years, it probably has a lot of junk built up. A complete Windows reinstall could help, but you'll likely face the same problem again in the near future. Seriously consider getting at least a 512GB SSD to avoid this.
Have you tried running the disk cleanup tool? It shouldn’t be using that much space for just the OS and basic apps. Open the Windows menu, search for 'disk cleanup,' select your C: drive, and check all the options.
