I'm putting together my first PC build since 2012, and I'm trying to make the best choices considering the current rise in component prices and the trend toward cloud gaming. This might be my last chance to build a decent setup without breaking the bank. I haven't built anything since the days when GPUs barely had over 1GB of VRAM.
Here's what I'm planning to order for my micro-ATX build in a Jonsbo Z20 case:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 7600x (6 Core)
- **GPU**: Windforce RTX 5070 OC (12GB VRAM)
- **PSU**: Corsair RM750e (fully modular)
- **Motherboard**: Asus B650EM-E
- **RAM**: Corsair Vengeance DDR5 (16GB)
- **Storage**: Patriot P400 (1TB M.2 SSD)
- **Cooling**: Corsair Nautilus 240
I've seen some mixed opinions on the RTX 5070, but it looks like a solid card for 1440p gaming. I'm also considering the Radeon 9070XT as another option. Should I focus on getting a better GPU, or is the 5070 enough for a $2,000 build? I'm also concerned about having only 16GB of RAM and don't want to spend an additional $600 for more sticks.

Your build looks great overall! If the Radeon 9070 XT is around the same price as the 5070 in your area, I’d recommend going for it since it tends to perform a bit better. However, the 5070 is still a decent choice for 1440p gaming. Just make sure to check compatibility and performance benchmarks before deciding!

Thanks for the insight! I heard the same about the 9070 XT, but it seems like everyone's hyped about NVIDIA cards right now.
