I'm curious about the current situation with Solidigm, Samsung PM8, and Micron PRO SATA SSDs. As of now, smaller accounts seem to have no access to these drives—I've reached out to suppliers like Ingram and TD Synnex but got no allocation or ETA. We're looking to order 25 drives of 7.68TB capacity. A year ago, they were about $25,000, but now we're facing prices around $100,000, and there's still no availability. Is this a disaster for procurement? How are companies adapting to this situation since it's less about price and more about scarcity?

Honestly, things might get worse. When the hardware shortages kicked in, many predicted that companies relying solely on PCs could go under. I’ve got priority status with HPE, but even that hasn’t helped me get what I need.
It's a tricky situation! I think many CFOs are still in denial about how rare these drives are. It's not as easy as just walking into a store like CompUSA used to be!
I totally miss CompUSA! Those were the days.

Is it really that bad out there?
