I'm really worried because my Android tablet is showing that it's charging fast, but it gets stuck at 97% and won't go any higher. This tablet is my only way to keep in touch with my long-distance fiancé, and if it stops working, I can't afford to buy a new one. I've tried searching for solutions online, but nothing seems to help. Can anyone offer some advice?

Sometimes just turning off the tablet while charging can help! It might allow it to charge better. Just try to reboot it and see if it charges normally afterward.
It sounds like your tablet's battery might be degrading. I've seen older devices only charge up to 95-99% instead of a full 100% as the battery ages. It’s usually nothing serious, just a sign that it's starting to struggle a bit.
I wouldn't stress overly about it. Batteries do lose their max capacity over time. If the charge dips suddenly, that's when it could be a problem. As a backup, consider setting up another messaging option using a free VoIP service, so you're not tied to just that one device.
Chances are, it’s just an age issue with your battery. Older devices can misreport their charge levels. They don't measure charge directly, so what you might be seeing is actually it being at full capacity but just not reflecting it accurately. You might be able to recalibrate it by fully draining the battery and then charging it back to 100% without interruptions.
Your device might have activated a 'safe charging' feature. This essentially limits how much it charges to prolong battery life. You can check if your model has that option; it might only charge up to 80% by default in these modes. Just be sure to give us more details about your device when asking for help, like the make and model!
I totally agree! Also, just an FYI, while conservation modes typically stop charging early, each device can have different settings.

Yeah, especially if it's a Galaxy Tab A8, which has been around for a bit. This could just mean normal battery wear. No need to panic—your tablet is probably fine!
