Best Remote Access Solutions for Mac Users

I'm looking for some advice on the best remote access tools for a small network of Macs. The owner and office manager of this business want to be able to connect to their office Macs while working from home or traveling. Their previous setup is chaotic with several programs that often fail to work. They need a reliable solution that doesn't require extensive management since they won't be overseeing the computers actively. A major concern is maintaining privacy; they want features that can black out the screen to prevent any authorized users from seeing what they're doing, especially when handling sensitive tasks like HR and payroll. Any simple and effective recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

RustDesk is a solid choice here! They offer both free and paid versions with cloud or self-managed options, making it versatile for different needs.

ConnectWise Control is another option worth considering. It’s designed for these kinds of situations and is pretty user-friendly.

Thanks, I'll give that a look!

If they're using MacOS at home, the built-in Apple screen sharing tool is pretty great for direct connections. Just double-check that both users are Mac users though!

I had to check to be sure; one uses MacOS all the time, but the other prefers to connect via iPad. I wasn’t aware of any built-in tools.

For something personal, I use RustDesk as well. It allows you to set a permanent password for easy access, so no onsite help is needed. Plus, it has a 'Privacy Mode' that can black out the screen when someone connects. I haven't used it on a Mac, but it's served me well for accessing my PC with my iPad.
