How Can I Upgrade My Gaming PC Within a $300-$500 Budget?

I've been using my PC for a while without realizing how technology has advanced. Recently, I played Silent Hill F and noticed some major performance issues. Razer Cortex showed that my GPU usage was averaging at 93%, spiking to 98%. Currently, I have a GTX 1660 Super with 6GB of VRAM, paired with an HP 8767 motherboard, 16GB of RAM, and an Intel Core i7-10700F. I've been eyeing the 5070 Ti, but it's nearing the $1000 mark. Is there a way to improve my gaming experience while sticking to a budget of $300 to $500?

Hey! It sounds like your GTX 1660 Super is starting to show its age, especially with newer games. While you mentioned looking at the 5070 Ti, that's quite a leap in price! Depending on sales and availability, you might find some decent mid-range options like the RTX 3060 or even some older models like the RTX 2060 within your budget. Also, make sure your RAM isn't bottlenecking; 16GB is decent, but sometimes having faster RAM can help. Good luck!

Yeah, I'd also suggest looking at the RX 6600, it often goes for a great price and is solid for 1080p gaming. Just keep an eye on stock; it fluctuates often.

I feel you on the budget! You might also want to consider upgrading just your GPU instead of the whole system, especially since your CPU is still relatively decent for gaming. If you can stretch a bit into the higher end of your budget, a second-hand RTX 2060 or 3060 could give you a significant performance boost without breaking the bank!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll look into those options, especially the used market. I think I just need a little more power to enjoy newer titles without lag.
