Can I Connect an RTX 5070 Ti to My Old Corsair RM850 Power Supply?

Hey everyone! I recently got my hands on a shiny new RTX 5070 Ti, but I'm puzzled about how to connect it to my old Corsair RM850 power supply. From what I understand, my PSU only has one 6+2 PCI-E to Type-3 cable. I've read that the RTX 5070 Ti needs either three PCI-E to Type-3 cables or a 12vhpwr cable, which is unfamiliar to me. The card did come with an adapter that converts three PCI-E to 12vhpwr. What's the best way to make this connection? Should I be looking for additional cables that fit the 6+2 slot, or is it time to invest in a new power supply with more PCI-E slots? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Do you still have the original 6+2 PCIe cables from your power supply? You’ll need them to connect properly!

Yeah, I’ve got the cables, it’s just that the PSU lacks the necessary slots, as you can see in the pic.

Honestly, I'd recommend just getting a new power supply that’s ATX 3.0 or 3.1 ready. It’s much safer in the long run. Sure, you could technically use that 3x8pin adapter, but a new PSU is a better investment.
