I've been having an issue with my DisplayPort cable where it doesn't fully connect due to my computer case getting in the way. The monitor looks fine most of the time, but it will randomly turn off and on, or display strange visuals if I move the cable around. I'm guessing it's not fully seated, even though the lock seems in place. After switching to a different GPU port, the problem has stopped, but the cable is still obstructed by the case. Everything appears stable now, but is there a reliable way to verify that the signal is working perfectly?

If you can wiggle the cable and the display is still working fine, it’s probably okay. It's common for cables to act up if there's any looseness, but it sounds like you're good to go.
If everything looks good now, I'd say just stop messing with the cable! I had a similar issue where I had to get creative and carve out some space on my case to avoid interference. Since it's stable now, there's really no need to worry about it anymore.
It seems odd that the case would obstruct the DisplayPort; how is it blocking it exactly?
It’s normal for a cable to cause issues if it’s wiggled a lot. Just make sure the connection isn't loose, and you're likely fine!

The case has these bars that make it tricky to get the GPU connected properly.
