I accidentally pressed 'Y' when prompted to reset the fTPM. It warned me that if I have BitLocker or encryption enabled, my system might not boot without a recovery key. This is my first PC build, and I'm really stressed about this! What should I do?

That message can be scary, but don't panic. If pressing 'Y' resulted in a black screen, try booting into your BIOS/UEFI settings by pressing F2 or Delete as your computer starts up. From there, check if you can disable BitLocker or find recovery options.

If you're still stuck, try a hard reset by turning off your PC completely, unplugging it for a minute, and then powering it back on. Sometimes it just needs a little reboot to reset things properly!

Thanks! I'll give that a try and see if it helps.

It's all good! Just restart your PC and see if it manages to boot back up. Sometimes these prompts can be a little misleading and you might just need to give it a second chance.
