Is It Okay to Install RAM by Pressing One Side at a Time?

I was installing some RAM and noticed people doing it differently. I pushed in the left side first and then the right side after. Is this method just as good as pushing them in both at the same time? Does it make any difference?

You're fine pressing one side at a time. Just make sure the power is off when you’re doing it.

Great to know! I was worried about it, but it seems like everyone agrees it’s not a big deal.

Honestly, I just press whichever side works best to get it secured. As long as both sides click in, you’re fine!

Nah, it doesn't really matter as long as the system is powered off when you do it. Just make sure you hear both sides click into place, and you should be good to go!

That's a relief! I always worry about these tiny details.

It’s generally recommended to push in the RAM from the center, but if your method works and it's clicking, then you’re all set!

Looks like I’ll stick to what I did then, since everything’s running fine.
