A few days ago, I accidentally spilled a sugary drink on my Lenovo Legion 5 laptop's keyboard. I took it to a repair shop, and while the keyboard works fine now, the space bar still feels sticky. It's not smooth when I press it, and it doesn't pop back up quickly. I've managed to temporarily fix this by using an ear pick soaked in alcohol or brushing it with an alcohol-soaked toothbrush, but that only works for a little while before it gets sticky again. I know the repair shop messed up, and I plan to return there eventually, but since I live in a rural area and really miss my laptop, I was hoping to find a DIY solution to avoid going back there. Any ideas?

What kind of alcohol did you use? 90% or higher is usually best for cleaning, but if you're stuck with 75% ethyl alcohol, that might still help for now.
You might want to check out some YouTube videos on keyboard repairs. They can show you step-by-step how to take apart your laptop's keyboard for a deeper clean, which could help with that sticky space bar.
I fix keyboards myself, and it sounds like a bit of effort might be needed. If you're comfortable, you could try opening up your laptop and pouring some high-proof isopropyl alcohol over the space bar while holding it at an angle. This way, any gunk can drain away. You can rinse it with distilled water, but if you don't have that, hot shower water can work too. Just be sure to dry it out well afterwards—it can take a while.
Just go ahead and replace the keyboard. It might seem like a hassle, but it can solve the problem for good rather than messing around with cleaning.
