Why Does My CPU Temperature Spike When I Attach the Front Panel?

I've noticed that my CPU temperature shoots up by 20 degrees when I attach the front panel of my case. My setup includes a Ryzen 5600x processor and an Arc B580 motherboard within a Darkflash DB330M M-ATX case. I'm new to building PCs and any advice would be appreciated!

It seems like your case might have poor airflow, which is causing that temperature increase. A common fix is to set up bottom intake fans and use the rear fan as an intake too. If you can, consider installing an AIO cooler on top as an exhaust. If you're okay with the current temps, you could also put your CPU in eco mode; it won't harm the CPU at these temps anyway.

Thanks for the tips! I currently have the side fan set to intake, but I’ll definitely check out adding bottom fans. Do you think replacing the existing case fans would help improve airflow?
