I recently moved the Cities: Skylines 2 game from my C drive to my E drive, and now all of the files from my E drive seem to have appeared on my desktop. I attempted to restore my computer to a previous restore point, but that hasn't worked. Does anyone have ideas on what I can try to resolve this?

It sounds like you might just have a shortcut to your E drive on your desktop instead of the actual files. Check to see if the files are actually moved or if it’s just a visual glitch. You might want to use a tool like WizTree to see a clearer picture of what’s stored where. Also, how did you move the game? Did you use the game migration feature in Steam or something else? That could make a difference.
Did it really move everything, or just create a shortcut? If your C drive is still the same and your E drive hasn't changed, then maybe it’s a directory issue. Can you clarify what you mean by "appeared on my desktop"? We need more details to help you figure this out.
Have you considered moving the files back to the E drive? It’s possible that what you see on your desktop is just a shortcut to your E drive. If the storage sizes of your C and E drives haven’t changed, it might be that nothing was really moved.
Make sure you check if your E drive was added to your desktop library accidentally. It sounds like his desktop directory might be pointing to his E drive, which is why all of it is showing up. Let’s dig a bit deeper into how you moved the game files.
