Hey everyone! I've noticed that Snagit Editor is not just using the usual ports 80 and 443 for license verification. It seems to also be communicating over port 3389, which is typically designated for RDP traffic. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar, with Snagit communicating on other ports like 389 or 9480?

That's definitely strange. I think it's worth questioning why Snagit is using those additional ports. It could be related to new features they’ve added or something else entirely. But keep an eye on it just to be safe!
For real! If it is using ports that aren't standard, it might be useful to reach out to their support team for clarification.
Honestly, I'm not sure why anyone still pays for Snagit when the Windows snipping tool is available. Most users I know talk about OCR and drawing on screenshots - features that are becoming common now across many tools!
They just added a cool feature that allows you to capture each click as a separate screenshot. In IT, that kind of functionality is actually super useful!
I get that too, but the Snipping Tool doesn't compete with what Snagit can do overall.

Yeah, I'd be cautious! It's not typical for a screenshot tool to use RDP ports. Maybe check for any recent updates or patches from TechSmith.
