I'm experiencing an issue where my PC abruptly shuts off when I play certain demanding games. It's fine for many games, but with others that require a lot from the GPU or have high FPS, it just goes black with no BSOD or any warning. I've already swapped out my power supply, so I know that's not the issue—I've upgraded to a Corsair RM850e 850W. I also checked temperatures, and my GPU stays within 60-80°C (usually around 70°C), so overheating shouldn't be a factor. I'm worried it's my GPU, especially since the problems occur more often in games with lots of visual effects or particles. Here are my specs: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, Gigabyte B550M K Micro ATX, T-Create Classic 32 GB, Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB, AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT, and the aforementioned power supply. The most problematic games are Roblox, Overwatch, Dead by Daylight, Marvel Rivals, Helldivers 2, Black Mesa, and Blade and Sorcery (especially when there are lots of flames). Any guidance would be appreciated!

Just to be sure, double-check all your temperature readings with something like HWINFO. Look at VRAM, VRM, and the GPU hotspot temperatures. If they check out okay, you could try some long runs with Furmark or OCCT's VRAM test to see if anything throws errors. If everything's fine there, then it might be time to look at other components.
Have you checked your CPU temperatures? A hot CPU can cause shutdowns too. Sometimes it's just a matter of dry thermal paste or a failing cooler. My friend had his PC shut down randomly until he replaced his old AIO cooler, so it might be worth a look.
Yeah, my CPU runs fine too. I did replace the thermal paste not too long ago, and I'm using an air cooler that's pretty clean. No issues there.
If you're leaning towards a GPU problem, try running some stress tests to trigger those shutdowns on purpose. Also, check the Windows Event Viewer for any critical errors around the time of the shutdowns; you might find some clues there.
I've run a GPU stress test and it shut down before finishing. I think I have a video of it on my profile. No luck with Event Viewer either—everything looked normal.

I'm currently monitoring temps while playing Marvel Rivals, and the GPU's around 60-65°C, even with tons of effects. So far, so good.
