I just bought a used iPhone 16 Pro Max, but the warranty status is showing as 'Coverage Expired,' which is really puzzling since this model launched in September 2024. Since it's a replacement device, is it usual for the warranty to be expired?

When you get a replacement iPhone, the warranty coverage from the original phone is transferred to the new one. This means the original device loses its warranty, which could explain why your new phone shows an expired warranty.
But how is that possible? The iPhone 16 series only came out in September, so why would my warranty be expired before that?
