I dropped my Samsung Galaxy S22 a couple of days ago, and now I've noticed that the battery is swelling, which is causing the back glass to bend. Just recently, the phone got stuck in a bootloop. I'm really worried because I have a lot of photos on it that I don't want to lose, and my new phone (the S26) isn't arriving until April 7th. What can I do to fix this situation?

First things first—stop using that phone right now! A swollen battery is a serious hazard. You should take it to a repair shop asap to get that battery looked at, or even removed. Safety first! There’s also a chance they might be able to help recover your photos, so it’s worth a shot.
Definitely consider getting that phone out of your house for safety. If it’s swollen, it’s a fire risk. You want it safely disposed of, so check local guidelines for handling hazardous materials.
Good advice! The best time to back up was yesterday, but the second best time is now. If you can access the phone, try to back up those important photos immediately, but keep safety in mind.
You might want to upload your photos to Google Drive or email them to yourself if you can access your phone long enough. Just be careful—don’t keep using the phone if the battery is swelling!
I totally get the panic, but don’t risk using it at all for that!

Yeah, seriously! You don’t want it to explode. If the repair shop can’t help, you might sadly have to say goodbye to your photos.
