Hey everyone! I'm new to Linux and trying to find the best tools for my everyday needs. One of my challenges is using Microsoft Word for basic documents. I discovered that Word Online runs in the browser, but I'm not sure how dependable it is over the long haul on Linux. Do you guys use it regularly? Or would I be better off with options like WPS Office or LibreOffice?

Honestly, I'd recommend just using LibreOffice. It's pretty much the same thing with even more features. The interface is different, but once you get used to it, it's not a big deal. Plus, it handles basic docx files perfectly.
It all depends on what you need from Word specifically. If it’s basic functionality, LibreOffice or even Google Docs could work just fine. But if you need collaboration features with others who use Word, then Word Online might be the way to go.
If you specifically need Word, then go for it! But if you just need a word processor, you can't go wrong with LibreOffice or OnlyOffice. They both handle compatibility well and are open source, so you won't have to worry about licensing fees.
