I've been having trouble displaying software on my 3DS since I removed the SD card that I've been using since 2011. It keeps showing an error saying the SD card can't be accessed. I've checked the card on my computer, and it's working fine, and I've even formatted it to FAT32 to rule out software issues. I also tried using a new SD card, but I had the same problem. I opened up the console and cleaned the SD card slot pins with isopropyl alcohol to ensure they're all good, and I used some compressed air to blow out any dust inside the card reader. I have ordered an SD card reader for the console, but I'm looking for more options or advice. Any ideas?

Just checking, is there a 'Lock' switch on the side of the SD card? If it's in the locked position, that could prevent access. Also, if you've checked that, you might want to examine the pins in the card slot for any bending or damage, but that can be tricky without the right tools.
It sounds like you've already done a lot, but have you tried a different SD card? Sometimes older cards can develop issues over time, and since yours is quite old, it's hard to rule out a problem with the 3DS itself or the card. Give it another shot with a different card if you can.
I've actually tried three different cards, including the original one that came with the console and two Kingston cards. No luck so far!

There is a switch, but it's turned off. Even when I take the card out, it's still in the unlocked position. I tried checking the pins, but I can't remove the shielding to be completely sure.
