My BenQ Monitor’s Sound Stopped Working with My PC, Need Help!

I'm having a frustrating issue with my BenQ monitor. The sound just stopped working when I connect it to my PC, and now it doesn't even show up as an audio output device. I've checked the device manager and can't find it there, even with all settings toggled. Interestingly, when I connect the monitor to my sister's PC or my dad's laptop, the audio works perfectly fine. I've tried different HDMI cables as well without any luck. I also reinstalled and updated my CPU drivers (I have an integrated GPU), and sound works fine through headphones plugged directly into my PC. I'm at a bit of a loss and would appreciate any guidance. Apologies if my tech terms aren't perfect—this isn't really my forte!

Try checking the device manager again. Look under 'Audio inputs and outputs' and see if your monitor shows up there. If not, it may be a driver issue with your integrated GPU. What drivers did you reinstall exactly? Can you tell me your PC specs?

It's not showing under audio inputs or outputs. My iGPU shows up as ‘AMD Streaming Audio Device’ and ‘AMD High Definition Audio Device,’ but they say no updates are available. I reinstalled the ‘AMD Ryzen 5 3400G Drivers’ for Windows 10. My setup is a self-built PC with an AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 3400G and a PRIME B450M-K II motherboard.

Have you checked the BenQ website for any drivers specific to your model? Sometimes a missing driver can cause issues like this. Since you've had the monitor for over six years, it might just need a little refresh.

I looked, but there’s nothing available for download. It's strange because I’ve never had any issues with it before.
