I'm having some trouble with my gaming performance. I have 16GB of RAM (using two 8GB sticks), but my games still lag a lot. For instance, in Valorant, I get that low FPS warning in the corner, and Roblox can barely handle anything above 6 bars on the graphics settings. My PC has an Intel Pentium G4600 processor and an Intel HD Graphics 630 integrated graphics card—that's about the extent of what I know about my setup so far. Can anyone suggest what upgrades or changes I can make to boost my FPS and overall performance? Just a heads up, I'm working with a tight budget here! I think I bought this PC around 2020, so my memory might be a bit hazy on the details.

It sounds like your main issue is the CPU and lack of a dedicated GPU. That Pentium chip with integrated graphics just isn't built for gaming. If you're only doing light gaming, you might consider adding a dedicated GPU, but for more serious gaming, you'd probably need to think about a full system upgrade.

What GPU would you recommend for my budget?
