Why won’t my PC power off completely?

I've noticed that even though my power supply unit (PSU) is switched off, some of the fans are still running and the RAM sticks are lit up. I'm not sure what's causing this issue, and I want to avoid just unplugging everything without knowing more. Any insights or guidance on what might be wrong?

You might be dealing with residual power being left in the system. Try holding down the power button to discharge it. It could help reset whatever's causing the issue. Just be mindful, it has been running for a bit after powering off.

It sounds like you might have a failing PSU. If it's still sending power even when the switch is off, that's definitely a problem. I recommend unplugging it immediately for safety. It could lead to serious issues if it shorts out your system. Better to be safe than sorry!

That's wild! I thought brand new PSUs were supposed to be reliable. What could cause this problem?
