Is my SSD failing? Help with high disk usage and slow speeds!

I'm having some serious issues with my SSD and I'm wondering if it's failing. I have a Teamgroup MP33 2TB SSD that I've been using for just a few months. My Task Manager shows that the SSD is running at 100% capacity, but I actually have about 1.5TB free out of the 2TB. The read and write speeds are really low, only peaking at about 2MB before dropping to a few hundred KB, and the average response time has climbed to 400ms. I've already tried using different M.2 slots, and my RAM seems fine. Could someone tell me if my SSD is indeed failing or offer advice on how to address this problem?

It's good that you've tried multiple slots; that rules out port issues. Since you still have free space, that's a positive sign! One more thing to check is the health of your SSD using a monitoring tool like CrystalDiskInfo. It can give you insight into the drive's health status. If the SSD is relatively new and showing such symptoms, it might be worth considering a warranty claim if it's still applicable.

First off, it sounds like you might be dealing with some software issues rather than hardware failure. You mentioned you're using Windows - have you checked for any applications hogging the disk usage? Sometimes, things like Windows Search or Superfetch can skyrocket disk usage. You could try disabling them temporarily to see if it helps. Also, running a disk check could reveal any issues that need repair.
