Hi everyone! I recently dropped my phone in water, and I'm not very tech-savvy. I tried to dry it off, shaking and patting the open ports as best as I could, and then I attempted to turn it on to see if it worked. Unfortunately, the screen remained off, and it started beeping continuously. I'm worried that I may have damaged it beyond repair. Is there anything else I can do to save my phone?

Sorry to hear about your phone! If it’s still beeping, it sounds like the liquid might still be causing some issues. Best course is to just keep it off and let it air dry totally before trying anything else. Good luck!
Honestly, you should have let it dry out for 2 to 3 days before trying to turn it on. Most devices can recover if you just let them sit, but powering it on while it's still wet often leads to irreversible damage. You might want to wait a few more days and see if it works then, but keep your expectations low.
Yeah, it's likely that your phone is fried. Once water gets into the electronics and you turn it on, that's usually game over. Your best bet now is to leave it turned off for a while and hope it dries out. If there’s a chance of saving it, waiting might help.
