I recently bought an MSI Katana gaming laptop about three years ago. Lately, I've been having issues where it shuts off if it's moved even slightly. I've been reseating the RAM (2 sticks of 8GB) to temporarily fix the problem, but now I'm facing a new issue: my games are running at an awful 4 frames per second. Interestingly, my mouse movement is normal. I want to avoid taking it to a shop if possible, but I'm open to it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Reseating the RAM multiple times can definitely lead to performance problems. It might be worth checking that your RAM is securely installed—sometimes you have to push them in pretty hard. Also, go into your BIOS settings to verify your RAM speed, check your overclocking (OC) settings, and ensure you're using the correct XMP profile. Double-check that you’re not accidentally running in single channel mode, which can cause major lag. If all else fails, consider creating a bootable USB and running MemTest86 to check your RAM for errors.

Sorry to bother you, but how do I access my BIOS? I’m on the troubleshoot page and a bit lost here. Thanks for your guidance!
