Is It Normal to Hear Air Bubbles in My AIO Cooler?

I've been noticing a sound that resembles a light flushing noise coming from my PC about 1-3 times a day. It only lasts a couple of seconds each time, and I'm pretty sure it's coming from my liquid cooling system. In my previous PC that lasted almost a decade, I never heard any similar noise, so now I'm wondering if this is something to worry about. My CPU is a 9800x3d, and I'm not experiencing any temperature issues—it's sitting at around 39-40°C while idling. Since I've only had this computer for just over a month, can someone tell me if this issue will resolve itself, or if I need to take any action?

What you're hearing is just air bubbles making their way through the AIO. If it's a new build, it can take a few days or even up to a week for those air bubbles to work their way into the radiator. No need to be alarmed! Also, I’ve found that running the pump at full speed can help, but once the noise stops, it'd be smart to dial it back to 70 or 80 percent for better pump life.

If your radiator is installed in a front or side position with the tubes going up, that's likely causing the bubbling noise. You might want to consider flipping it if you can, which should help reduce or eliminate the noise. But if that's not an option, don’t stress too much; it’s usually not a big deal.

Hearing those occasional air bubbles isn't an immediate cause for concern, but over time, they can reduce the longevity of your pump. It's worth keeping an ear on it, but no need to panic just yet.
