I have a 3070ti, and when the temperature hits 80°C, the fans go into overdrive; it feels like my PC is about to take off! This started happening just a few days ago, and it's driving me nuts. I downloaded a fan controller to manage the fan curve, but it's not helping. My friend built this PC for me three years ago, and I've been cleaning it regularly, including the graphics card, but it still runs hot. I realize that while 80°C isn't extreme for a graphics card (my old 1080 handled up to 85°C), the fan noise is just too much. Can anyone provide some assistance? I'm not very tech-savvy, so please bear with me if I don't understand everything!

I had a similar issue with my 2060 Super. Turned out my hotspot was hitting 105°C. After I repasted, the fans stopped going wild. Just a heads up, though—if you’re nervous about taking it apart, it might be worth watching some YouTube videos on it first. You can definitely do it!
Consider undervolting your GPU, it might help stabilize fan speed. Also, make sure you have enough case fans for proper airflow. Adjusting your fan curve to prevent max speeds would help, too.
Your fans can't actually run at 200%, which sounds a bit odd! Have you tried cleaning it out really well? If you're comfortable doing it, consider repasting the GPU as well, that can help with heat management.
