I just unboxed my brand new Acer Nitro V laptop today and ran into trouble setting up Windows 11. After encountering an error during the initial setup, I forced it into safe mode by interrupting the startup three times and tried to reset Windows. Unfortunately, I'm now stuck in an infinite restart loop, with the screen saying it's preparing Windows for over two hours. I'm really confused and frustrated since this is a completely new device. What's going on here and how can I fix it?

If you can't create a bootable USB, you could also try a system recovery option if it’s available. Most new laptops have recovery options built-in; just check if you can access that from the boot menu. But if all else fails, returning it seems like a reasonable choice since it’s not functioning right out of the box.
First off, I totally get your frustration! For situations like yours, I suggest creating a bootable USB drive with Windows on it. You can do this using the Microsoft website or a tool like Rufus. It's your best bet to get back on track without waiting around. If the issue persists after that, it might be worth returning the laptop and getting a new one since it’s brand new.
That sounds super annoying! If the infinite loop keeps happening, I’d definitely contact Acer support again and see if they can expedite shipping for a recovery USB. Waiting 10+ business days is tough when you just bought the thing! You should also check if there’s an option to reset from the recovery environment if you can access it.

This might be a silly question, but since I don’t have any other devices right now, is there any way to order a bootable USB with Windows already installed? I really don’t want to wait for Acer to send me one for days!
