Hey everyone, I'm really stumped with my Windows 10 PC. For the last couple of days, it fails to boot properly – the screen goes black after about a minute, even though the fans and RGB stay lit. I can sometimes get into 'startup repair,' but it asks for a password I can't remember, so I can't do much there. I can boot into safe mode without issues, where it seems stable. In safe mode, I uninstalled my GPU drivers, disabled several error-highlighted drivers, and even reset my PC completely, but nothing seems to help. I've even tried three different GPUs: a 4060 Ti and a second 2070 Super, neither of which solved the problem. Interestingly, the integrated graphics work when I take the GPU out, but it's super slow. I've cleaned my PSU and reseated my RAM, and I've booted from a USB to reinstall Windows multiple times. What could be causing this issue? I'd really appreciate any insights!

It sounds like the PCI slot might be the culprit here. If it's failing with multiple GPUs, that could indicate a problem with the slot itself. Also, make sure there’s no interference with other components, like SATA ports that might share lines with the PCI slot. If you haven't already, check your motherboard manual to see if there are any specific configurations you need to be aware of.
Just to clarify, are you saying everything works fine with the integrated graphics but fails with all the GPUs? That’s a bit odd and definitely points towards a slot issue. You might want to inspect the PCI slot closely for any damage or dirt that might be causing a bad connection.
Yes, exactly. It’s so confusing! I’ll take a close look at the PCI slot.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll check that out. Maybe the PCIe slot is fried after all.
