Is This Budget PC Good Enough for a First-Time Gamer?

I've been helping my friend, who has never gamed before, by upgrading her old laptop which was struggling with basic tasks. After cleaning it up and boosting the specs, she was able to run Stardew Valley, which got her excited about trying out more games. As a surprise for her birthday, I decided to build her a budget gaming PC using some parts I had around. I'm starting to worry I might have gone too cheap with it. Here's what I've put together:
- Jonsbo T7 MATX case
- TUF B550M motherboard
- Ryzen 3600 CPU
- Peerless Assassin 140 cooler
- MSI 2060 XC 12GB GPU
- 32GB DDR4 3200 memory
- 500GB Crucial P310 Gen4 SSD
- 650W MSI power supply (80+ Gold rated)

Will this PC be a decent entry-level system for her?

Your parts choice seems good, but if she starts getting into more demanding games, she might run into storage problems. Consider a bigger SSD down the road. Otherwise, she's set for a fun gaming experience!

Honestly, this is a great first build. It's stronger than some current consoles! My partner uses a similar older setup and enjoys gaming without issues. Just make sure there's enough storage; 500GB can fill up quickly with modern games.

The combo of the Ryzen 3600 and the 2060 should handle 1080p gaming at 60fps quite comfortably! For a new gamer, it should be perfect, although a GPU upgrade to something like the 3060 could really enhance the experience if she decides to get into more demanding games.

This build looks solid for a budget option! It might struggle with the latest games, but there are plenty of fun titles she can dive into. As a beginner, she'll have a great time with this setup without too much hassle.

Overall, this is a nice entry-level machine! Coming from integrated graphics, she's going to notice a huge difference. You did a great job putting this together!
