Why is My PC’s Upload Speed So Much Lower Than Other Devices?

I've got a pretty decent internet connection with 170 Mbps download and 11 Mbps upload, especially because it's 5G, so I expected lower upload speeds. However, on my PC, I'm only getting around 7 Mbps upload speed. I don't have any VPNs running, and nothing in the background seems to be using more than 1 Mbps collectively. My setup is pretty solid too, with a 5090, 64 GB of RAM, a 9950x3D, and I'm using Wi-Fi 7 along with a 5 Gbps Ethernet connection. Any ideas why this is happening?

How are you testing your upload speed? Are you using any specific tools or websites for the speed tests?

I’m using Ookla's speed test, and I’ve also tried Google’s speed test and a couple of others just to verify. They all give me the same result.

It sounds like your issue could be due to limitations on the service itself. Remember, 5G is a shared medium, which means if there are a lot of users online, your speeds can drop significantly. Are you noticing this speed drop specifically on your PC, or is it consistent across all devices?

On my phone and other devices, it's consistently at 11 Mbps, so it’s only the PC that’s having this issue.
