I'm looking to upgrade my CPU from a Ryzen 5 5500 and considering either a Ryzen 7 5700X3D or a Ryzen 7 5800X3D. The catch is that the only 5800X3D available is refurbished, while I can get a new 5700X3D, with only a $30-40 price difference between them. This is my first PC build, so I could use some friendly advice! Just to give you some context, I'm running a 4060 Ti GPU and have 16GB DDR4 RAM. What do you think I should do?

Before you decide, check the actual prices for the 5700 and 5600 where you live. Sometimes local prices can give you a better deal or alternatives like the 5600X or 5700X if they're available. I'll say though, steer clear of the standard 5600 and 5700, as they're not as powerful as you might want for a desktop setup. Looking into the X versions is a better choice!

Yeah, the X versions are definitely the way to go for gaming. Don't waste your time on the non-X CPUs.
