I'm currently using Symantec Email Security Cloud as the main filter for emails, but we're looking to make a change due to various issues we've encountered over the years. Right now, our top pick is KB4 Defend, which used to be known as Egress. We already utilize KB4 for security training, and after a Proof of Concept, it seems like a solid option, especially alongside PhishER for managing user-reported phishing alerts. That being said, I'm curious if there are other email security platforms worth considering that might offer better performance, automation, or cost-effectiveness.

Yeah, I checked KB4 Defend's features, and it looks like it warns users without actually taking action on detected threats. So, while it helps with visibility, it's not enough for those who want proactive measures in place.
We were also KB4 customers and ended up choosing Abnormal for the same reasons. KB4 Defend focuses mostly on visual classification, which means the user still needs to report phishing for any actions to happen. What we really wanted was something that actively removes threats instead of just identifying them.
Have you checked out Abnormal AI? It seems pretty effective. We looked into KB4 products too but decided to go with Abnormal instead after assessing our needs regarding automation and threat response.
If you're using M365 Exchange, consider its security features; they are competitive with most third-party solutions. However, the filtering hasn't been perfect for us, allowing some phishing emails through, which is frustrating. KB4's PoC caught a lot of what Exchange missed, so I'm leaning towards it.
I still prefer Mimecast for email security. It's been reliable for us, but I understand that everyone has different needs.
