Is the RX 9070 a Good Deal at $620?

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card from an RTX 3060 with 4GB of VRAM to an RX 9070. My goal is to start gaming at 1440p on an OLED display, with some future plans for 4K as well. I've been budgeting around $600 for the GPU and came across an Amazon deal for an overclocked RX 9070 that has 16GB of VRAM for $620. Do you think this is worth it right now, or should I consider downgrading to a 9060 XT, 7800 XT, or 5060?

I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 7700X, and upgrading my GPU has been on my agenda since AM5 launched. I've checked and confirmed that the RX 9070 fits in my motherboard and case, so it really comes down to whether it's worth spending this amount now, especially since GPU prices have been dropping for the last 90 days. I want to ensure I have good graphics and longevity, as I primarily play games like Cyberpunk, all the titles from Larian Studios, Clair Obscur, Elden Ring, COD, and Arc Raiders. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

In the current US market, that’s a solid deal for the RX 9070. If it’s the lowest price it’s been in months, it might be wise to grab it now instead of waiting and potentially missing out.

I appreciate your insight! Do you think GPU prices will drop further in the coming months, or is this about as low as they’ll go?

The RX 9070 is likely the best GPU you can snag for around $600 right now. If you're looking for 4K performance down the line, though, consider saving a bit more to invest in the 9070 XT for future-proofing.

Thanks for the tip! I’m not planning on jumping into true 4K gaming just yet, but it’s good to know I have that option.
