How can I make my SSD a bootable drive for Windows installation?

I'm trying to install Windows on my SSD, but during the installation, my PC keeps rebooting. When it restarts, I need to boot from the SSD to continue the installation, but it doesn't show up as a bootable drive in the BIOS since there's no OS on it. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Check your BIOS settings for any secure boot options and make sure your TPM is enabled. It might also help to list the parts you're using, as it gives more context for troubleshooting.

What is TPM, and how can I enable it in my Gigabyte BIOS?

You should use the USB install disk. It typically installs enough to make the SSD bootable. After the first restart, it should be able to boot from the SSD and continue the installation process.

It still won't boot from the SSD after the first reboot; it just doesn't show up as a bootable drive.

Try reformatting your SSD and then unplug any other drives. Leave just the SSD connected and start the installation again. Once Windows is up and running, you can reconnect your other drives.

I only have one drive, and I'm using a USB to install. After the reboot during installation, the SSD still doesn't show as a boot drive.

Make sure your SSD is actually showing up in the BIOS. Sometimes it helps to reboot and press F11 (or whatever key your motherboard uses) to manually select the USB as the boot option for installation.

It doesn't show up at all in the BIOS.
