Hey everyone! I've recently made some upgrades to my PC, and here are the current specs: I'm moving from an Intel i5 7400, and I've just swapped my GPU from a 1050Ti 4GB to a 2060 6GB. I have 16GB of RAM and a power supply of 700W. Now, I'm considering changing my CPU to a Ryzen 5 5600X, but that'll require a new motherboard as well. Given my budget constraints and the fact that I'm playing games like Arc Raiders and noticing performance issues, do you think this upgrade is a good choice?

Absolutely! Upgrading from the i5 7400 to the Ryzen 5600X is a solid move. You'll see a significant boost in performance, especially in modern games.
If you're looking to save some cash, you could consider getting a used 9th gen i7 instead, provided you update your motherboard’s BIOS. But honestly, switching to the Ryzen is probably the best bang for your buck.

Unfortunately, 9th gen CPUs won't fit in a 7th gen motherboard, so that would not work out.
