Experiencing Black Screen Issues After NVIDIA Driver Update

I recently updated the driver for my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, and now I'm facing a black screen issue during gaming. Usually, I'd expect some flickering during installation, but this time the screen went completely black, and my monitor said no connection while my keyboard and audio continued working fine. After a manual restart, I tried reinstalling the driver, but now every time I launch a game, I encounter a black screen. I've tested multiple games like Roblox, Valorant, and Apex, but the issue persists. When I rolled back to a previous driver that worked for me, the black screen problem continued.

In Roblox and Apex, the screen turns black as soon as I load a game. In Valorant, I can play for around 20 minutes before the screen goes black, and it seems to happen sooner after each manual restart. I even attempted running FurMark, but it only lasted a minute before the screen went black. I tried sharing my screen on Discord to show what's going on, and my friend could see a brief stream before my screen glitched out and zoomed in. I've gone through various troubleshooting steps, including trying different driver versions and reseating the GPU, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions to help solve this issue would be greatly appreciated, as I really rely on my PC.

Have you checked whether you're using the game-ready driver or a stable studio driver? It can make a difference! Also, did you use DDU to properly remove the old driver before installing the new one, or did you just install it over the old one? Sometimes that can cause issues. Reinstalling Windows should be a last resort, but if everything else fails, that might be something to consider.

I always stick to the game-ready drivers too, but cleaning out the old driver with DDU is crucial for a smooth install. If you haven’t done a clean installation of the current driver you're using, it might be worth trying again. Just make sure to follow the right steps. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! I've used DDU before, but I only did a clean install on this current driver. I've been avoiding a full Windows reinstall, but maybe I should consider my options if I can't fix this soon.
