I have a Realme 8 and recently, my fingerprint scanner stopped working. I tried to unlock my phone with my fingerprint, but it wouldn't recognize it. When I checked the settings to add my fingerprint again, it said that the option isn't available at the moment. Have you tried rebooting your phone? Sometimes a simple restart can fix these glitches.
Restart your phone and give the screen a good clean. If you have a screen protector, try removing it and see if that helps. Also, make sure your software is up to date. There might be some diagnostics in the settings you can run. If all else fails, a factory reset could work, but don't forget to back up your data first!
