Can I Use an Intel Pump Bracket on an AMD Cooler?

I recently upgraded my HP OMEN 45L's AIO cooler to a Cooler Master 360 Atmos. Although the tubing fits well, I'm running into issues with the fan cables being too short—I'm considering getting an 80 cm 4-pin extender. The real problem is that the pump bracket for the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X is too short to mount properly. I've attached some pictures for reference (check them out in the links). The Intel bracket fits just fine, so I'm wondering: can I use the Intel bracket on my AMD CPU with the screws from the AMD kit, or am I better off sending the AIO back and reinstalling the original one?

Just a heads-up: your motherboard isn't standard ATX; it's a proprietary HP board that might not fit a normal AM4 bracket. You could try the Intel bracket; some reviews suggest HP standardizes their parts this way. Just make sure it's not touching anything else on the motherboard to avoid shorts!

Thanks for sharing the pics! They really help. Since you're not too familiar with water coolers, I'd recommend checking out a video on how to mount using the AMD bracket, since you have an AM4 socket. If you're feeling adventurous, try mounting the cooler with the Intel brackets. After you screw it to the spec, remove it to see how the thermal paste spread. Make sure to check your cooler’s manual for details on AM4 and AM5 fittings!

If the Intel bracket fits, go ahead and use it! Just be careful not to over-tighten the screws. After installing, keep an eye on temperatures—check them right after setting it up and again in about a month to ensure everything's seated properly.
