Can I Still Use My Motherboard After a Failed BIOS Update?

Hey everyone, I'm a newbie and just got my new MSI B850M-P motherboard. I attempted to flash the BIOS, but the LED blinked 4-5 times for about 15 seconds and then turned off. I suspect the BIOS update failed. Is it safe to use the motherboard as it is, or should I try to fix the BIOS update? I'm planning to pair it with a Ryzen 7600X. Thanks for your help!

Your motherboard supports the 7600X right out of the box, so you shouldn't need to mess with the BIOS now. Just make sure that a failed update doesn’t brick your board!

The 7600X should work fine as is. You might want to try booting up and then using the Mflash utility in the BIOS to update it.

Make sure you’ve named the BIOS file correctly before flashing. Most brands need you to rename it in a specific way for it to work properly. That could be the issue here.
