I recently experienced a small water spill that affected my HP Spectre 2-in-1 laptop. The laptop was on its side when it happened, and only a small amount of water—about a quarter of a centimeter—contacted the left side where the headphone jack and USB ports are located. After the incident, I powered off the laptop immediately, dried it thoroughly, and left it upright in a warm room for 24 hours, lying on the side that wasn't affected. I'm wondering if it's safe to turn it on now, or if the water damage could be significant enough to warrant concern. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I think you should let it dry for a few more days just to be safe. It's better to be cautious when dealing with water!
You should be fine to turn it on! You acted quickly and let it dry properly. Unless there's a hidden issue, it should work just fine. From what I've seen, it usually doesn't short out the motherboard unless the water gets to the main area.
If the water was just on the outside, you’re probably in the clear. But if it got inside, you might wanna check it out and make sure there's not too much moisture lingering.
You could take the back cover off and try to clean the motherboard. If you notice any leftover moisture, using isopropyl alcohol can help clear it up.

But remember, just turning it off doesn't necessarily power down everything in the laptop. If the water contacted any energized parts, it could still be a risk. It's best to wait a bit longer and maybe use a dehumidifier if you can!
