I've just upgraded my PC and I'm experiencing significantly lower FPS in World of Warcraft than I did with my previous setup. I moved from a 3060s GPU to a 5060ti, and upgraded my CPU from a 9th gen to an i5 12700K. I also changed my motherboard from an x99a to an MSI PRO B760M-P DDR4, and got a new PSU. The monitor resolution increased from 1K to 2K, but I retained the same 32 GB of RAM and NVMe SSD. While my Windows performance improved after a fix, I'm getting FPS drops to below 10 in raids, compared to the 60-70 FPS I used to achieve. HWINFO indicates that my CPU isn't utilizing its full clock speed, averaging around 1.1 GHz, which seems to cycle between bursts of power and long stalls. I'm at a loss as to what's going wrong; even a hired tech couldn't resolve it and was baffled by the performance I'm seeing. Any insights would be appreciated!

Another thing to consider is your motherboard. The i5-12700K typically pairs best with a Z-series motherboard to really unlock its potential. With your current setup, you might be experiencing thermal throttling, which can severely impact gaming performance. Either your CPU cooler isn't up to par, or the motherboard's VRMs aren't handling the power properly. Keep an eye on those temperatures while gaming!
First thing to check is whether your monitor is connected to the right GPU output. Sometimes, after upgrades, people accidentally plug their monitors into the motherboard instead of the dedicated GPU. Make sure you're using the GPU output!

I've checked the temperatures and they seem fine. Are you saying my motherboard might not be good enough for my CPU?
