Is a 5060 Ti 8GB Worth It for 4K Gaming with DLSS and Frame Generation?

I'm considering upgrading to either a 5060 or 5060 Ti, both with 8GB of VRAM, but I'm facing higher prices compared to other regions. I also looked at the 9060 XT, but I'm leaning away from AMD due to uncertainties about their frame generation quality. My main concern is if I can game on a 4K TV smoothly with frame generation, ideally achieving 60+ frames per second. I haven't found benchmarks for 4K performance with DLSS and frame generation on the 5060. I'll mainly be gaming on a 1440p OLED for now, focusing on story-driven titles, so 1440p isn't a huge concern yet.

Frame Generation works better when you start with a higher base frame rate, so going for 60 FPS is a must. With modern games at 4K or even 1440p, expect to use up to 12GB of VRAM. You’re not likely to fit everything into 8GB without lowering some settings.

Honestly, 4K gaming with 8GB of VRAM is a big stretch. Unless you’re playing really old titles, you’re likely to struggle. Even at 1440p, you might run into issues with VRAM. I'd stick to lower resolutions if I were you.

Trying to game at 4K with the 5060 Ti is pretty much out of the question. Frame Generation (FG) uses more VRAM, so with only 8GB, you're really limiting your experience. To make FG work smoothly, you need a base frame rate of at least 60 FPS or you’ll encounter a lot of artifacts, which just ruins the game.
