Should I Choose a 32GB DDR5 Build for 1080p or a 32GB DDR4 Build for 1440p Gaming?

I'm trying to decide between two main build options. One is a setup with 32GB of DDR4 RAM paired with an R7 5700X and either a 7800 XT or RX 9070. The other option consists of 32GB of DDR5 RAM with an R5 7600 or i5 14400F combined with an RX 9060 XT 8GB. My focus is on gaming. Since I'm not located in the USA, I don't have a specific budget, but the parts total around 80-82k Turkish Lira (TRY), which is approximately $1,000 USD. I also prefer to avoid the slower Wi-Fi that comes with AM4, but I'm somewhat hesitant about AM5 because of its performance at 1080p. Additionally, I need Bluetooth and Wi-Fi since it's nearly impossible to run an Ethernet connection in my apartment, and I have some Bluetooth peripherals. Apologies for any poor spelling or grammar—English isn't my first language. Which build do you think is a better choice?

For 1440p, I’d suggest going for the AM4 with DDR4. My upgrade to a 1440p monitor made a huge difference in my gaming experience, and I’ve been happy with my performance on that setup.

If you're on a tight budget, stick with the DDR4. But if you can spend a bit more, go for the DDR5 option. It’s better for the long run, especially since prices should stabilize eventually.

Consider going with 16GB of DDR5 with the R5 7600. This way, you can save some money and possibly invest in a 9060 XT with 16GB of memory now for 1440p gaming. Trust me, 32GB isn’t necessary just for gaming.

Great point! I didn’t think about trimming down the RAM for a better GPU option.

Yeah, 1440p is much more GPU-intensive anyway.

I'd definitely lean towards the DDR5 option. It's more future-proof, and you can always upgrade your monitor later if you wish to. Going for better RAM now makes sense as it should help with game performance down the line.

It really comes down to what games you play most. If I were you, I’d go with the second option and the R5 7600. You can upgrade the CPU and GPU in a few years and keep all the other parts, which sounds like a solid upgrade plan.
