Hey everyone! I was resetting my PC to clean it up because it was filled with junk files. Unfortunately, while it was resetting at 12%, the power went out suddenly. When the power returned, my PC started running a disk fix that has four stages. After that, it just kept restarting itself and is now stuck in that cycle. Is there any way to fix this, considering the reset was started? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Oh, and just to add, the reset was already taking a long time, about 30 minutes just to get to that 12%!

If your power cut off during the reset, it might not be good, but it’s not necessarily the end. Just let it run even if it seems stuck; these processes can take a while to complete. If it keeps rebooting, try creating a Windows installation USB on a different computer and boot from that. From there, you can access recovery options or set up a fresh installation if needed.
If you're thinking about doing any BIOS tinkering, don’t bother. Unplugging the CMOS battery won't really help here and will reset any changes you’ve made in BIOS. Stick to the recovery methods for Windows instead. If it’s really messed up, a fresh install is probably your safest bet.
You can also try booting from the Windows DVD or USB if you have one. It might be a little troublesome to make one if your other PCs aren’t compatible, but it’s worth a shot. Once you access it, go into the recovery options and see if you can load from the last known good configuration.
Yeah, I’d definitely recommend just starting a new install. If it got corrupted during the reset, trying to repair it might just be a headache. Better to clean install than deal with constant restarts!
