I'm considering upgrading my RAM and wondering if I should go for 16GB or 32GB. I know RAM prices are dropping, but I'm concerned about performance limitations with my RTX 5070 graphics card and Ryzen 7 9700X processor. Do I really need 32GB to ensure smooth performance, or is 16GB sufficient for most games?

It really depends on the games you’re playing, but some new titles can struggle with just 16GB. If you want to future-proof your setup, 32GB would be more than enough.

With an RTX 5070, I’d definitely lean toward 32GB. Some games can pull more than 16GB, especially if you have other applications running.

Right now, 32GB might be the way to go, especially with more games needing more RAM. If you've got the budget, go for it, as it might save you money in the long run.

If you're on a budget, 16GB will work, but try to ensure you get dual channel RAM. Note that a few games push beyond 16GB, so consider upgrading when prices drop.

In most cases, 16GB of RAM is fine for gaming. However, if you plan to multitask—like watching videos while gaming or running games that require a lot of mods—32GB is a safer choice.
