Should I Upgrade from My 7800X3D for Gaming and Streaming?

I'm currently using a 7800X3D with a 7900 XTX, but I've been experiencing some performance issues while playing Apex Legends, especially when I'm also streaming and have programs like Overwolf and Chrome running simultaneously. With my setup, I have a 360Hz 1440p OLED monitor and I cap Apex at 270Hz, plus I've got 32GB of RAM. Should I consider upgrading my CPU, or is it better to keep the 7800X3D?

It's possible that the RAM could be an issue. Upgrading to the 9950X3D might give you some nice performance boosts for gaming and multitasking, but if you're already running 32GB, that could be more than sufficient for your needs. Just keep in mind how you're utilizing your resources.

Are you using NVENC for streaming, or are you relying on CPU encoding? Switching to NVENC could really take the load off your CPU and help resolve some of those performance dips.

Honestly, there's really no strong reason to upgrade your CPU. It's like trading in a brand-new car for the same model just a year newer—it's not going to give you much more performance and it'll cost a fortune. Apex Legends isn’t very CPU-intensive, so you might be looking at RAM or other bottlenecks instead of your CPU being the culprit.
