Is This PC Build a Good Choice?

I've put together a relatively budget-friendly PC build, and since I already own the CPU and RAM, I just need to grab the other parts. Here's the link to my build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/9kxb8Z. I've checked some benchmarks, and I'm feeling confident about the performance. Could you guys let me know if this build seems solid or if I should consider any changes? Thanks!

Your build isn’t dreadful, but there are minor tweaks I’d recommend. Check out this link for some suggestions: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/y3rYH3. The motherboard you picked is okay, but I’d highly recommend against AsRock if you plan on upgrading to 9000 series or X3D CPUs in the future. I kept the changes minimal since I wasn’t sure about your budget.

I appreciate the advice! I plan on upgrading eventually, but I'm moving from the UK to Texas soon and might do a complete new build then. Is it safe to stick with the motherboard I selected for now?

The build has potential, but I'd suggest looking into the motherboard choice. While AM5 offers great upgrade paths, going with an AsRock board might limit your options for future CPUs, especially if you aim for Ryzen 9000 series later on. Also, if you're trying to save cash, it might be better to switch to a DDR4 platform instead of sticking with DDR5. For your graphics card, aim to allocate about 40% of your budget to get balanced performance.

So what do you suggest I switch out? I already have the DDR5 RAM and CPU, but I’ll consider changing the SSD since there are some reliability concerns.

I recommend upgrading your cooler to something like a Thermalright Peerless Assassin or Phantom Spirit. They’re really solid options. Also, for the SSD, it might be worth going for a reputable brand even if it costs a bit more. This will ensure better performance and reliability.

I'll definitely check those out. If they’re a bit pricey, is it okay to stick with my current cooler?
